Can you explain a bit about cosmic inflation?
Did you think the Big Bang was the beginning of the Universe? What if I told you it wasn’t? That it was the beginning of the matter and radiation we have in our Universe; that it was the beginning of the expansion-and-cooling that led to what we see today; that it was the beginning of when we start our cosmic clocks.
But there was something that happened before the Big Bang, to set it up and give it the conditions it began with. That “something” is cosmic inflation.
