For anon: try a lot of different explanations! For high school level physics Paul Hewitt's "Hewitt Drew it" video series is pretty good. "Basic Physics" by Ken Ford is also a really good book. Crash Course Physics on Youtube is also pretty good, although quite fast paced if you've never met the material before (better for revision). Caltech's TV series "The Mechanical Universe" (now available online) covers most of the physics and maths you meet in first year at university.
